HPMC based capsules are  non-GMO, non-animal derived, gluten-free, starch-free and naturally sourced. The lower moisture content – 4-6% compared to the 12-14% of gelatin capsules – allows HPMC capsules to better protect hygroscopic and moisture sensitive ingredients and provides chemical stability against cross-linking. Solid dosage form HPMC delivers better physical stability as they will not melt together during transportation or change their properties when stored in hot, humid or dry conditions. Further additions like capsule coatings bring additional desirable functions such as delayed delivery or targeted release of active ingredients.
